At Divya Vedic Astrology, we are committed to providing high-quality astrological consultations and services. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may or may not be provided.

We follow a strict no-refund policy for all services. Please read this policy carefully before making any payment.

1. No Refund Policy - Overview

1.1 Services Covered

The following services are non-refundable once payment is confirmed:

  • Astrology Consultations: All types of consultations (phone, video, WhatsApp, email)
  • Birth Chart Analysis Reports: Personalized astrological reports
  • Online Courses: Course enrollments and access (when available)
  • Digital Products: Downloadable reports, guides, and recordings
  • Remedy Recommendations: Personalized remedy consultations
  • Special Packages: Annual predictions, compatibility analysis, etc.

1.2 Why No Refunds?

Our no-refund policy exists for several reasons:

  • Time Commitment: Our astrologers dedicate significant time to preparing for each consultation by analyzing birth charts in advance
  • Personalized Service: Each consultation is customized and cannot be resold to another client
  • Scheduled Slots: Booking a consultation reserves the astrologer's time exclusively for you, preventing other clients from booking that slot
  • Digital Nature: Once digital products are delivered (reports, recordings), they cannot be "returned"
  • Service Investment: Resources are allocated immediately upon booking confirmation

2. What This Means for You

2.1 Before Making Payment

Please ensure you have:

  • Reviewed Service Details: Understand what is included in your selected package
  • Checked Pricing: Verify the total amount including taxes
  • Confirmed Availability: Ensure you can attend at the selected date and time
  • Accurate Birth Details: Have your correct birth date, time, and place ready
  • Read Policies: Review our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and this Refund Policy

2.2 Payment Confirmation = Service Agreement

Once you complete payment:

  • Your booking is immediately confirmed
  • The astrologer begins preparing for your consultation
  • That time slot is exclusively reserved for you
  • You enter into a binding service agreement
  • No cancellation or refund is possible after this point

3. Rescheduling Policy

3.1 When Rescheduling is Allowed

While refunds are not provided, rescheduling is permitted under the following conditions:

  • Request must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation time

  • Maximum 1 reschedule allowed per booking

3.2 Rescheduling Process

  1. Contact Us: Inform us of your rescheduling request with your booking ID
  2. Provide Reason: Briefly explain the reason for rescheduling (optional but helpful)
  3. Check Availability: We will share available alternative dates/times
  4. Confirmation: Once you select a new slot, we will send a confirmation email
  5. New Appointment: Attend the consultation at the rescheduled time

3.3 Emergency Rescheduling

In case of genuine emergencies (medical, family), we understand that 24-hour notice may not be possible:

  • Contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation
  • Provide supporting evidence if available (medical certificate, etc.)
  • We will evaluate each case individually and try our best to accommodate
  • However, rescheduling in emergency cases is not guaranteed and depends on astrologer availability

4. No-Show Policy

4.1 What is a No-Show?

A no-show occurs when:

  • You fail to attend your scheduled consultation without prior notice
  • You do not reschedule at least 24 hours in advance
  • You are not reachable via phone, email, or WhatsApp at the scheduled time

4.2 Consequences of No-Show

⚠️ Session Forfeiture

If you miss your consultation without 24-hour advance notice:

  • The session is considered forfeited
  • No refund will be provided
  • No rescheduling will be allowed
  • The paid amount is non-recoverable

4.3 Late Arrivals

  • If you join the consultation late, the session will still end at the originally scheduled end time
  • Example: For a 1-hour consultation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, if you join at 10:20 AM, the session ends at 11:00 AM (not 11:20 AM)
  • We recommend joining 5 minutes early to avoid technical setup delays
  • No time extension or refund is provided for late arrivals

5. Technical Issues and Exceptions

5.1 Payment Issues

5.1.1 Payment Deducted But Booking Failed

If payment is deducted from your account but you don't receive booking confirmation:

  1. Wait 30 Minutes: Sometimes confirmations are delayed due to gateway processing
  2. Check Email/SMS: Confirmation may have been sent to spam folder
  3. Contact Us Immediately:

  4. Provide Details:
    • Transaction ID / Payment Reference Number
    • Screenshot of payment confirmation
    • Amount debited and date/time
    • Your registered email and phone number
  5. Resolution: We will investigate and either:
    • Confirm your booking manually, or
    • Process a refund to your original payment method

5.1.2 Duplicate Payments

  • If you accidentally make duplicate payments for the same booking
  • Contact us with both transaction IDs
  • We will refund the duplicate payment within 7 business days
  • Refund will be credited to the original payment source

5.1.3 Failed Transactions

  • If payment fails but amount is deducted, the bank/payment gateway typically auto-refunds within 5-7 business days
  • This is a bank-side process and not under our control
  • If refund is not received after 7 days, contact your bank with transaction ID

5.2 Technical Issues During Consultation

5.2.1 From Our Side

If technical issues occur from our end (astrologer's internet, platform failure, etc.):

  • We will immediately inform you and attempt to resolve
  • If resolution takes more than 10 minutes, we will reschedule to the earliest available slot
  • Full consultation time will be honored in the rescheduled session
  • No refund will be provided, but the session will be rescheduled at no extra cost

5.2.2 From Client Side

If technical issues occur from your end (poor internet, device problems, app crashes):

  • We will try to wait and help troubleshoot for up to 15 minutes
  • If issue persists beyond 15 minutes, you have two options:
    1. Continue consultation via alternate method (phone call instead of video), or
    2. Reschedule to another date (subject to availability and one-time reschedule policy)
  • Time spent troubleshooting is not extended beyond the scheduled duration
  • No refund is provided for client-side technical issues

5.3 Service Quality Concerns

If you are dissatisfied with the consultation quality:

  • While we do not provide refunds, we are committed to quality service
  • Contact us within 48 hours with specific concerns
  • Email: contact@divyavedicastrology.com with subject line "Service Quality Concern"
  • Provide detailed feedback about what was unsatisfactory
  • We will review your case and may offer:
    • A follow-up consultation with the same or different astrologer
    • Additional written analysis at no extra cost
    • Clarification or additional guidance on specific points
  • However, monetary refunds are not provided even in quality concern cases

6. Course Enrollment Refunds

6.1 No Refund After Enrollment

For online courses (when available):

  • Once you enroll and payment is confirmed, no refunds are provided
  • This applies even if you haven't accessed course materials yet
  • Course access is granted immediately upon payment

6.2 Course Access Duration

  • Course access is valid for 2 years from date of enrollment
  • No refunds for unused course access time
  • No extension beyond 2 years (access expires after this period)

6.3 Course Cancellation by Provider

If we cancel a course due to insufficient enrollments or other reasons:

  • You will receive full refund within 7 business days
  • Refund will be credited to original payment method
  • You will be notified at least 7 days before course start date

7. Digital Product Refunds

7.1 Non-Refundable Digital Products

The following digital products are non-refundable once delivered:

  • Birth chart analysis PDF reports
  • Personalized remedy guides
  • Consultation recordings (when provided)
  • E-books and downloadable guides
  • Any other digital content

7.2 Reason for Non-Refundability

  • Digital products can be downloaded/saved and cannot be "returned"
  • Content is personalized and cannot be reused for other clients
  • Significant effort goes into creating each digital product

8. Physical Product Returns & Exchange Policy

8.1 Return Window

For physical products purchased from our online shop:

  • Return Period: You can return eligible products within 7 days from the date of delivery
  • Product Condition: Products must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging with all tags/labels intact
  • Return Request: Must be initiated within the 7-day window by contacting us at contact@divyavedicastrology.com

8.2 Eligible Products for Return

The following products can be returned if they meet the conditions:

  • Books: Unopened, undamaged, with original shrink wrap intact
  • Astrological Accessories: Charts, calendars, tools in unopened packaging
  • Defective Products: Any product received in damaged/defective condition
  • Wrong Product Delivered: If you received a different product than ordered

8.3 Non-Returnable Products

⚠️ Important: Non-Returnable Items

The following products are NOT eligible for return or refund due to their spiritual and personal nature:

  • Gemstones & Crystals: Once delivered, gemstones cannot be returned as they are personalized and energized for you
  • Rudraksha Beads: Cannot be returned once received as they absorb your energy
  • Energized Yantras: Yantras that have been energized/consecrated cannot be returned
  • Opened/Used Products: Any product that has been opened, used, or tampered with
  • Products on Sale/Clearance: Items purchased during clearance sales (unless defective)
  • Customized Products: Any product customized or personalized as per your specifications

8.4 Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive a defective or damaged product:

  1. Report Immediately: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  2. Provide Evidence: Send clear photographs of:
    • The damaged/defective product
    • Product packaging (inner and outer)
    • Shipping label and invoice
  3. Email to: contact@divyavedicastrology.com with subject "Defective Product - Order #[Order Number]"
  4. Resolution: We will offer:
    • Replacement: Send a new product at no extra cost, or
    • Full Refund: If replacement is not available
  5. Return Shipping: We will arrange and cover return shipping costs for defective items

8.5 Wrong Product Delivered

If we shipped the wrong product:

  • Contact us immediately with order details and photos
  • We will arrange pickup of the wrong product (no cost to you)
  • Correct product will be shipped immediately
  • If correct product is out of stock, full refund will be provided

8.6 Exchange Policy

Product exchanges are available only for:

  • Size/Variant Issues: If you ordered wrong size (for wearable items like rudraksha malas)
  • Exchange Window: Within 7 days of delivery
  • Condition: Product must be unused and in original packaging
  • Process:

    4. Once received and inspected, we ship the exchanged product

8.7.2 Packaging for Return

  • Pack the product securely in original packaging
  • Include original invoice/packing slip
  • Use bubble wrap or protective materials for fragile items
  • Ship via reputable courier with tracking

8.7.3 Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective/Wrong Products: We bear return shipping cost
  • Change of Mind: Customer bears return shipping cost
  • Exchanges: Customer bears return shipping cost

8.8 Refund for Physical Products

8.8.1 Refund Process Timeline

Once we receive the returned product:

  1. Inspection: We inspect the product within 2-3 business days
  2. Approval: If return is approved, refund is initiated within 2 business days
  3. Processing: Refund processed within 7 business days from approval
  4. Bank Credit: Additional 5-7 business days for amount to reflect in your account
  5. Total Time: Expect 14-21 days from return shipment to refund credit

8.8.2 Refund Amount

  • Product Cost: Full product price will be refunded
  • Shipping Charges: Original shipping charges are non-refundable (except for defective/wrong products)
  • Return Shipping: Not refunded unless we arranged the return
  • COD Charges: Cash on Delivery charges (if applicable) are non-refundable

8.8.3 Refund Method

  • Online Payments: Refunded to original payment method (card/UPI/wallet)
  • COD Orders: Refunded via bank transfer (you must provide bank details)
  • Gift Cards: If paid via gift card, refund as store credit

8.9 Inspection & Quality Check

When we receive your returned product:

  • We inspect for damage, usage signs, or missing components
  • If product condition doesn't match return policy, we reserve the right to:
    • Reject the return and ship product back to you
    • Offer partial refund (if minor damage)
  • You will be notified via email if return is rejected with reasons

8.10 Special Cases

8.10.1 Gemstone Authenticity Issues

If you doubt the authenticity of a gemstone:

  • All our gemstones come with authenticity certificates
  • You can get the gemstone tested at any certified gemological lab
  • If found fake/synthetic, we will provide full refund + testing cost reimbursement
  • Report must be from recognized lab within 7 days of delivery

8.10.2 Size/Weight Discrepancy

For gemstones and rudraksha:

  • Minor variations (±5%) in weight are natural and acceptable
  • If variation exceeds 10%, contact us for resolution
  • We may offer partial refund or replacement

8.10.3 Color Variation

  • Actual product color may slightly vary from photos due to lighting/screen settings
  • Minor color variations are not grounds for return
  • Significant color mismatch (completely different shade) is valid return reason

8.1 When Refunds May Be Issued

Refunds are issued ONLY in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Duplicate Payment: Accidental multiple payments for same booking
  • Payment Error: Amount deducted but booking not created (technical glitch)
  • Service Cancellation by Us: If we cancel your consultation due to astrologer unavailability
  • Wrong Service Booked: If you accidentally book wrong service and notify us within 1 hour of payment

8.2 Refund Timeline

If a refund is approved:

  • Processing Time: We will process refund within 7 business days of approval
  • Bank Credit Time: Additional 5-7 business days for amount to reflect in your account (bank-dependent)
  • Total Time: Expect 10-14 business days for complete refund process
  • Refund Method: Amount will be credited to the original payment source (card/UPI/wallet used)

8.3 Refund Confirmation

  • You will receive an email confirmation when refund is initiated
  • Email will include refund reference number
  • If refund is not credited within 14 business days, contact your bank with reference number

12. Special Situations

11.1 Medical Emergencies

  • If you or a family member has a genuine medical emergency preventing attendance
  • Contact us as soon as possible with medical documentation
  • We will reschedule your consultation (no refund, but session preserved)

11.2 Death in Family

  • In case of bereavement, we understand this is a difficult time
  • Contact us with details and we will accommodate rescheduling
  • Session will be preserved for up to 6 months

11.3 Natural Disasters / Acts of God

  • In case of natural disasters, pandemic lockdowns, or other force majeure events
  • We will work with you to reschedule or provide alternative consultation methods
  • Services may be delayed but will be fulfilled once situation normalizes
